Jamie Oliver’s Turkey Sandwich is a simple and satisfying recipe featuring tender slices of turkey, fresh greens, and a zesty cranberry or mustard-based sauce, layered between slices of bread or a crusty roll.

    • 4 slices of sourdough bread or 2 crusty rolls

    • 200g (7 oz) cooked turkey, thinly sliced

    • 2 tablespoons cranberry sauce or Dijon mustard

    • 1 handful mixed salad leaves (e.g., arugula, spinach, or lettuce)

    • 1 small cucumber, thinly sliced

    • 1 tomato, sliced

    • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise (optional)

    • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste


Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients

    • Slice the bread or rolls in half.

    • Thinly slice the turkey, cucumber, and tomato. Wash and dry the salad leaves.

Step 2: Spread the Sauce

    • Spread cranberry sauce or Dijon mustard on one side of each slice of bread or on the bottom half of the rolls.

    • For extra creaminess, spread mayonnaise on the other slice or top half of the roll.

Step 3: Assemble the Sandwich

    • Layer the sliced turkey evenly over the sauced bread.

    • Add the salad leaves, cucumber slices, and tomato slices on top of the turkey.

    • Season with a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Step 4: Finish and Serve

    • Place the other slice of bread or the top half of the roll on the sandwich. Press gently to secure.

    • Slice the sandwich in half for easier handling and serve immediately.
