Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Sponge Layer

    • Cut the sponge cake into small cubes and place them in the base of a trifle dish.

    • Drizzle with strawberry syrup or orange juice to add moisture and flavor.

Step 2: Make the Strawberry Layer

    • In a bowl, mix sliced strawberries with sugar and vanilla extract.

    • Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes to release natural juices.

    • Spoon the strawberry mixture over the sponge layer.

Step 3: Prepare the Custard

    • If making homemade custard, allow it to cool before layering.
