Description

Jamie Oliver’s Smoked Salmon Blinis are small, soft pancakes topped with smoked salmon, a dollop of crème fraîche, and garnished with fresh herbs, creating a perfect blend of flavors and textures.

Ingredients

Scale
    • 12 ready-made blinis (or make your own)

    • 100g (3.5 oz) smoked salmon, thinly sliced

    • 100ml (1/2 cup) crème fraîche

    • Juice of 1/2 lemon

    • Fresh dill or chives, finely chopped, for garnish

    • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Optional Add-Ins:

    • A teaspoon of horseradish for a spicy kick in the crème fraîche

    • Capers for a tangy topping

Instructions

Step 1: Warm the Blinis

    • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Arrange the blinis on a baking tray and warm them for 3-5 minutes until soft and lightly heated. Alternatively, warm them in a dry skillet over medium heat for 1-2 minutes on each side.

Step 2: Prepare the Crème Fraîche Mixture

    • In a small bowl, mix the crème fraîche with a squeeze of lemon juice, a pinch of salt, and black pepper. Stir until smooth and creamy.

Step 3: Assemble the Blinis

    • Spread a dollop of the crème fraîche mixture onto each warmed blini. Top with a small piece of smoked salmon.

Step 4: Garnish and Serve

    • Garnish each blini with a sprinkle of fresh dill or chives. Serve immediately on a platter for a beautiful presentation.
