    • 1 sheet of ready-made puff pastry (about 250g)

    • 150ml (2/3 cup) tomato passata or pizza sauce

    • 150g (1 1/2 cups) grated mozzarella cheese

    • 1 teaspoon dried oregano or Italian herbs

    • Optional toppings: pepperoni, mushrooms, olives, cherry tomatoes, or bell peppers

    • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing)

    • Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)


Instructions

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

    • Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Step 2: Prepare the Puff Pastry Base

    • Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface if needed, keeping it about 1/4 inch thick. Transfer the pastry to the prepared baking tray.

Step 3: Score the Pastry

    • Using a sharp knife, lightly score a 1-inch border around the edges of the pastry. Be careful not to cut all the way through. This will create a raised crust as the pastry bakes.

Step 4: Add the Sauce

    • Spread the tomato passata evenly within the scored border, leaving the edges clean for the crust to rise.

Step 5: Add Cheese and Toppings

    • Sprinkle-grated mozzarella cheese over the sauce. Add your chosen toppings evenly across the pastry.

Step 6: Brush the Edges

    • Brush the edges of the puff pastry with olive oil to help them turn golden and crispy.
