Description

Jamie Oliver Gluten-Free Pancakes are soft pancakes made using gluten-free flour instead of traditional wheat flour. They deliver the same fluffy texture and delicious taste as classic pancakes while being suitable for people avoiding gluten.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Pancakes

    • 200g gluten-free plain flour

    • 2 teaspoons gluten-free baking powder

    • 2 tablespoons caster sugar

    • ¼ teaspoon fine salt

    • 2 large eggs

    • 300ml milk (or dairy-free milk)

    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    • 2 tablespoons melted butter or vegetable oil

    • Butter or oil, for cooking

Optional Toppings

    • Fresh berries

    • Maple syrup

    • Honey

    • Banana slices

    • Greek yogurt

    • Chocolate chips

    • Powdered sugar

Instructions

Step 1: Combine the Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until evenly combined.

Step 2: Mix the Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter until smooth.

Step 3: Make the Batter

Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients while whisking continuously. Mix until a smooth batter forms. Let the batter rest for 5 minutes.

Step 4: Heat the Pan

Place a non-stick frying pan or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or oil.

Step 5: Cook the Pancakes

Pour about ¼ cup of batter into the pan for each pancake. Cook for 2–3 minutes until bubbles appear on the surface, then flip and cook for another 1–2 minutes until golden brown.

Step 6: Repeat the Process

Continue cooking the remaining batter, lightly greasing the pan between batches if necessary.

Step 7: Serve Warm

Stack the pancakes on serving plates and add your favorite toppings before serving immediately.
