Description
Jamie Oliver’s Air Fryer Yorkshire Pudding is a modern take on the traditional Yorkshire pudding, using the air fryer to achieve the signature golden puffiness with ease. It’s made with a simple batter of flour, eggs, and milk, perfect for pairing with a roast dinner.
Ingredients
-
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
-
- 2 large eggs
-
- 1/2 cup milk
-
- A pinch of salt
-
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or beef dripping
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, add the flour and a pinch of salt. Make a well in the center and crack in the eggs. Gradually whisk in the milk, combining it with the eggs and flour until you have a smooth batter. Let the batter rest for at least 15-20 minutes to ensure a light, airy pudding.
Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for about 5 minutes. Place a small amount of oil or beef dripping in each hole of a silicone muffin mold or individual ramekins that fit in your air fryer. Place the mold or ramekins in the air fryer basket to heat the oil.
Once the oil is hot and slightly sizzling, carefully pour the batter into each mold, filling each about halfway. The hot oil helps the puddings rise and become crispy.
Place the filled molds back into the air fryer and cook at 200°C (400°F) for 10-12 minutes. Avoid opening the air fryer during cooking to prevent the puddings from collapsing. The puddings are ready when they are golden and puffed up.
Carefully remove the Yorkshire puddings from the air fryer. Serve hot alongside your favorite roast, meat, or gravy.
