Description
Jamie Oliver’s prawns with garlic and chilli is a quick dish where prawns are cooked in hot olive oil with garlic, fresh chilli, lemon, and herbs. The result is a light yet flavorful seafood dish that’s ready in minutes.
Ingredients
-
- 400g large prawns (peeled and deveined)
-
- 4 garlic cloves, finely sliced
-
- 1–2 red chillies, thinly sliced
-
- 3 tbsp olive oil
-
- 1 tbsp butter (optional, for richness)
-
- Zest and juice of 1 lemon
-
- Handful of fresh parsley, chopped
-
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Warm olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the sliced garlic and chilli, and let them sizzle gently until fragrant.
Place the prawns in the pan in a single layer. Stir occasionally and cook until they turn pink and slightly golden on the edges.
Stir in the butter, lemon zest, and lemon juice. This gives the prawns a glossy finish and bright, fresh flavor.
Season with salt, pepper, and chopped parsley. Toss well to coat every prawn in the garlic-chilli mixture.
Remove from heat and serve hot. Prawns taste best when fresh and hot off the pan.
