Instructions

1. Prepare the Leeks

    • Wash the leeks thoroughly, as they can often hold grit between the layers. Slice them into thin rounds and set aside.

2. Sauté the Leeks

    • In a large pan, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced leeks and sauté for 8-10 minutes until they are soft but not browned. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.

3. Add Garlic and Seasoning

    • Add the minced garlic to the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Add a pinch of nutmeg if you like a subtle warmth in your dish.

4. Pour in the Cream
