Jamie Oliver’s 5 Ingredients Chicken Tikka Masala is a simplified take on the classic tikka masala, incorporating only five main ingredients for a rich, flavorful result without the need for an extensive spice rack or preparation time.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless chicken breasts, cut into cubes
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons tikka masala paste
- 1 can (400g) of chopped tomatoes
- 200ml coconut milk
Instructions
Season the chicken cubes with salt and a bit of tikka masala paste, coating them evenly.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add a bit of oil, then sauté the chopped onion until it turns golden and soft, about 5 minutes.
Stir the remaining tikka masala paste into the onions, cooking for 2-3 minutes to release the aromas and deepen the flavors.
Pour in the chopped tomatoes and coconut milk, stirring well to combine. Let the sauce simmer gently for 5 minutes.
Add the seasoned chicken cubes to the sauce, stirring to coat. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
Once the chicken is tender, remove from heat. Serve the tikka masala hot with your choice of rice or naan.
